Special Events Policing

Policing Special Events, such as the Heritage Festival and Air Show, which is held annually on the Civic Holiday weekend at the waterfront, rests with the Operations Section. Special patrols for the 4 day event are provided by a platoon of specially assigned personnel working from an on-site command post.
