On the 8th of Feb. shortly before 11:30 AM it is alleged that two teenage girls attended Chippewa Secondary School washroom and lit some paper towels on fire. At this time they extinguished it and shortly after they both returned and commenced another similar fire and then left.

On the 13th of Jan. during the afternoon hours it is alleged that a male was being arrested for theft at a local retailer while in Northgate Mall. At this time it is further alleged that this male attempted to flee when being arrested by a store security person. A call went out to get more security officers and it took 4 of them to gain control of the situation.

RIDE STATS FOR DEC. 14 TO 20; BREAK & ENTERS; ROBBERY

During the above week officers of our Service operating the RIDE unit stopped 1318 vehicles. During that time period they gave 4 screening tests resulting in one impaired driving charge. The officers also charged 2 drivers for driving under suspension and laid 3 Highway Traffic Act charges as well as one Liquor Licence Act charge.

On the 19th of May a short time after 11 PM it is alleged that a man was hanging around the downtown area. Cst. Chris Marshall of the North Bay Police recognized the man and checked him on the Police computer system.
