WHY DO THAT???
On Monday the 18th of Jan. shortly after 7 PM officers of the North Bay Police Service responded to a call of a man with a rifle slung over his shoulder while shopping at a grocery store on Algonquin Av.
Several officers attended the scene and arrested a man on the premises while carrying this high powered rifle.
The man was brought to headquarters and it was eventually learned that because he didn’t want to leave this gun unattended at home he would go shopping with it.
No charges were laid however the investigation continues.
ONE FOR B & E
On the 18th of Jan. during the afternoon hours Det. Csts. Steve Taylor and Richard Hampel of the North Bay Police arrested a male suspect in relation to a break and enter. It is alleged that this break and enter took place into a home on Aberdeen Av. on the 21st of Dec. of last year.
Trent COUROUX 18 years old of North River Rd. in Redbridge is charged with Break & Enter and Breach of Recognizance. He is to attend court on the 23rd of Feb.
B & E FOR OXYs
On the 18th of Jan. at approximately 6:25 AM a homeowner in the 600 block of Galt St. heard the sound of breaking glass coming from his kitchen.
Upon inspection, the owner noticed that a large window had been broken and that Oxycontin pills were stolen. The investigation continues.
