Freedom of Information Related to Police Service Records: Information collection, use, and release policies employed by the Police Service provide open disclosure while protecting individuals against the unjustified invasion of their personal privacy. Designated personnel within the organization employ formal procedures to ensure disclosure made in the normal course of business complies with Police Services Board policy and the Act. Formal requests under the Act are directed to the Freedom of Information Coordinator for appropriate disposition. Service records are securely stored and access is restricted to provide the level of confidentiality required. Questions regarding regular business disclosure of records may be directed to the Office Manager. Formal requests and any inquiries regarding the provisions of the legislation as it relates to North Bay Police records should be directed to the Service Freedom of Information Coordinator.
