Service Stores

A Civilian Stores Clerk oversees maintenance of the Service Fleet, issuance and purchasing of Service uniforms, equipment and stationery, and the overall operation of Service Stores.

The practice of leasing vehicles was discontinued in 1994. Vehicles are now purchased by the Service and warranty work excepted, all maintenance is conducted off-site. Traditionally, fifteen hundred pieces of evidence pass through Stores annually.

Policies are in place to ensure that property and evidence is maintained in accordance with recognized standards and that property is disposed of in accordance with provisions of the Police Services Act
