Board Chair Chirico and the members of the North Bay Police Services Board welcomed Detective Mike Gallagher of the Abington Police Department to North Bay at their January 12, 2010 meeting. Earlier this year Detective Barry Ramsay and Detective Constable Al Bedard of our police service travelled to Abington as part of an educational exchange. Abington Police Department has been recognized as a leader in youth programming and crime prevention. Detective Gallagher has joined us this week to meet with members of our organization to identify best practices and policing initiatives we have in place in North Bay and area that may work for their community.
