Operations Division

The Operations Division encompasses the four platoons of patrol officers and their supervisors as well as the Traffic Section, Communications, Special Events and Specialized Patrols. The front line officers respond to calls for service, traffic management and education, 9-1-1, RIDE, bicycle patrol, snowmobile patrol and foot beat as part of the front line service to the community. Add to that, events such as the Heritage Festival, political rallies and labour disputes, Y2K planning and deployment and a host of other special events, and it is clear that the past two years have been very busy for our personnel.
